Emperor Idemni
The rumors were quelled and life returned to normal for several years before tragedy struck his family. His youngest daughter, Ideti, was found dead in her chambers one morning and found to have been poisoned. They could never determine the culprit, and Idemni ordered all of her guards to be executed for failing to protect her.
Two years later, the oldest daughter Idoru was killed in a rockslide that was thought to be a freak accident.
The following year, Idier was also killed by a former Cornerstone known as Uraide while alone in the commoner’s portion of the city of Norsen. Exactly what he was doing there and how the ex-Cornerstone managed to kill him in the first place are still unclear. Several things did not make sense, such as the fact that Idier had an ability that made it next to impossible to trick or sneak up on him. There were also other people that said it was impossible for Uraide to have killed him because the way his skull had been crushed did not match how a wolf’s fangs work, yet Uraide was the one with the prince’s blood in his fangs. Many people saw the strange circumstances of his death as part of the curse that was supposed to prevent the gilded children from being born into the royal family.
After losing three of his children, Idemni became far more protective over his remaining son, Idexsa, and of maintaining the peace in country. So when the Oracle of Fulfillment gave his prophecy and told him that the incarnation of the Nameless God was to be born amongst the citizens of O-jhenbel, Idemni allowed the citizens of Norsen, Shinek, and Azeijh to sack the city, then ordered soldiers from Norsen to do away with all the refugee children aged 10 and younger who had been born in O-jhenbel.
Nearly four years after these events took place, citizens in the village of Yurnath reported seeing a red-eyed fya just minutes before a winged Jchita dragon attacked their city and the hunt for the incarnation began again.
