Kaylun is fully in ruins now with the main building still in tact being the temple to the Nameless God.
Kaylun is seen to be cursed ruins nowadays. It used to be the capitol of Ur-ktan until it was destroyed 2000 years prior. It was in Kaylun where the tradition of all the royals naming their children a name being with "Id" began, and also when someone married into the family, they would change their name to match. This was in homage to the founder of Ur-ktan, Ideran. Very little is known about them other than how they began to worship the Nameless God near the end of their reign and grew corrupt. The last king of Kaylun, and the last gilded crocodile before Idier, was Emperor Idhyai. He was told by the Oracle to cleanse this corruption, but in doing so he himself fell to the curse and went mad. In his madness he became paranoid decreed the death of any fya with an animal form large enough to pose a threat to his own - the sarcosuchus - and included any sarcos outside the royal court. Those who managed to escape the decree fled, never to be seen again.

When this happened, Idhyai's brother Idukara slew his brother to put an end to it, but the damage had been done. The city was in chaos, many had been executed or fled. He tried to rebuild parts of Kaylun, but eventually the Oracle told him that it was too late and that the very ground itself had become cursed. Idukara then evacuated the city and rebuilt in Norsen, creating the Norsen Dynasty. The ruins are now forbidden for anyone to visit. Norsen stations guards their to keep people out and to execute any who try - though even criminals tend to avoid that place as no one wants to fall victim to Idhyai's curse.
